Enterprise-wide upgrade from Maximo 7.6 to MAS, running on-premise

One of the UK's largest energy generation utilities uses Maximo to manage plant and corporate assets across a large internal workforce and third-party contractors. An initial MaxLogic health check led to us becoming their primary Maximo support partner — and to upgrading the estate from 7.6.1.2 to MAS, via 7.6.1.3.

All testing and the move to MAS were completed in a three-month window to meet an outage, covering Asset, Works, Inventory and Purchasing with complex integrations to ERP, PI and other systems. It was the first on-premise deployment of MAS completed worldwide.

  • Successful migration with no issues reported
  • Enhanced asset management capabilities
  • Improved system performance and reliability

Lift and shift from IBM SaaS Flex to MAS on MMS — HFL Building Solutions

HFL were running Maximo 7.6.1.2 and Maximo Anywhere on IBM SaaS Flex. MaxLogic migrated and upgraded them in one project — onto the MaxLogic Managed Service and MAS — and moved mobility to Maximo Mobile to resolve synchronisation concerns.

HFL became the first MAS Managed Services client globally, and still uses MMS today, including a MaxLogic-developed supplier portal that lets contractors capture updates straight into Maximo.

  • Enhanced service management and delivery
  • Increased operational efficiency
  • Better service quality for customers

Greenfield MAS implementation on MaxLogic Managed Service

A large global automotive distribution business needed to modernise and centralise how it received, managed, updated and reported on the services it provided. A successful pilot led to a move onto MAS running on MMS.

Rolled out across the UK, then Africa and Asia, with hundreds of maintainable assets per site and 85+ sites enrolled. Continuous deployment keeps them on MAS 9, with upgrades and patches completed within a month of IBM release.

  • Improved supplier and site management
  • More efficient operations and reporting

Lift and shift an unsupported Maximo onto MAS

A global ingredients manufacturer needed better equipment management to reduce costly downtime — on a Maximo version 4 long out of support. MaxLogic modernised the software and the business processes behind their maintenance strategy.

After an interim move to Maximo 7.6 on IBM SaaS Flex, they migrated to MMS and upgraded to MAS 8.7 in 2023. Continuous deployment now keeps them on the latest MAS 9.

  • Better management of complex equipment
  • Significant reduction in equipment downtime
  • Optimised plant operation

"They understand the way that we work, understand our processes, and they understand Maximo inside out. They have never let me down."

— Neil Boreham, VPI
